Cmcoptions Limited claims to be regulated by the Financial Services Authority of Seychelles (Seychelles FSA) with a Securities Dealer License Number SD037. This broker also claims Cmcoptions is a tradename of TopFX Ltd, a company licensed by the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC) under license number 138/11.
However, our search for Cmcoptions in Seychelles FSA's registry did not yield any matching results. Meanwhile, when searching in the CySEC, we did find TopFX Ltd under license number 138/11, but the domain registered is not the one Cmcoptions owned. We also contacted the official service of TopFX Ltd and they said Cmcoptions is not their tradename. That means the regulatory information Cmcoptions claims is a false statement to unsuspecting investors.
More importantly, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) issued a warning against Cmcoptions after finding this broker may provide financial services or products in the UK without authorization.
The truth is, Cmcoptions is not regulated by any regulators. Letting this broker hold or control investors' money is unsafe, and the money can not be protected by any laws. Therefore, it is a scam.
