GSI Markets claims it is operated and owned by Media Force Limited, an offshore entity registered the Marshall Islands Registry (IRI). However, the IRI is a provider of shipping, ship and company registration services, providing technical and management support to the Maritime and Companies Registry of the Republic of Marshall. In other words, IRI is not a government agency, nor is it a regulatory agency.
Moreover, the UK regulatos FCA and Spain regulator CNMV have successively added GSI Markets to the alert list to warn the public that this firm is not authorised to provide the investment services in their countries.
All in all, GSI Markets is not overseen by any financial regulators. That means investors' funds in this broker are unsafe and cannot be protected by any law. Therefore, it is a scam.
