Portrades claims to be the trading name of Signix LTD, a company registered with the Marshall Islands Registry (IRI) under registration number 113788. While it is true that corresponding records exist in the IRI registry, investors must bear in mind that the IRI is not a government agency, nor is it a regulatory agency. Therefore, Portrades operates outside the legal framworks. In addition, the British Columbia Securities Commission (BCSC) has issued a warning against Portrades, stating that this broker is not registered to trade in, or advise on, securities or derivatives in BC.
In essence, Portrades is not regulated by any governing body. Entrusting this broker with investors' funds is highly risky, as there are no legal protections in place to safeguard the funds. It is unequivocally a scam.
