Broker violations and abnormal records
SKANESTAS says it is regulated by ASIC in Australia with license number 488828. But when we checked, that license belongs to a company — STAR FUNDS MANAGEMENT PTY LTD — and its official website is www.starfunds.com.au. This is not the same as SKANESTAS. Using someone else’s license number is misleading and suspicious.
SKANESTAS also claims to be regulated by the NFA and registered with FinCEN as an MSB. However, we searched both organizations’ databases and found no record of SKANESTAS being approved for any financial services. An MSB license is not a brokerage license and does not allow trading activities.
Because of these serious issues, we believe SKANESTAS is very likely a fraudulent or unlicensed broker.
