ASIC Cancels CAIP Services' AFS Licence Effective July 8

9 hours ago WikiForex

The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) has cancelled the Australian financial services (AFS) licence of CAIP Services Pty Ltd, with the cancellation taking effect from 8 July 2026.

The regulator confirmed the cancellation after determining that CAIP Services Pty Ltd was no longer using the AFS licence to actively provide financial services. Under section 915B(3)(a) of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth), ASIC holds the authority to suspend or cancel an AFS licence if the holder ceases to carry on a financial services business.

CAIP Services Pty Ltd had held AFS Licence number 432297 since 6 February 2013. The licence authorised the firm to deal in and provide financial product advice for general insurance and life risk insurance products, serving both retail and wholesale clients.

Under the regulatory framework, CAIP Services Pty Ltd retains the right to appeal ASIC's decision. Any appeal must be lodged with the Administrative Review Tribunal, which will conduct a formal review of the determination.
