Spain's CNMV Issues Fresh Warning Against Unauthorized Investment Entities and Apps

Spain's National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) has issued a new alert against multiple entities and mobile applications operating without authorization to provide investment services in the country.

The regulator emphasized that the listed firms are not registered in the official CNMV registry and are therefore prohibited from offering investment activities subject to regulatory supervision.

Several flagged entities are actively promoted through WhatsApp groups and mobile apps, while others operate websites posing as legitimate investment firms. In one instance, the CNMV noted that a website is impersonating a duly registered company.

The CNMV warns that engaging with unregistered entities significantly heightens the risk of fraud and financial loss. Investors are urged to verify a firm's regulatory status via the official CNMV registry or by contacting its investor assistance service.
